Charlson Chimney Sweeps Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of the chimney sweep services provided by Liam Charlson T/A Charlson Chimney sweeps, located at, 32 Spencer Drive, Lee-On-The-Solent, PO13 8HF. By booking or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Services Provided
Charlson Chimney Sweeps offers professional chimney cleaning and inspection services, including but not limited to:
- Chimney sweeping and cleaning
- Chimney inspections
- Chimney repairs and maintenance
- Stove and flue cleaning
- Consultation and advice regarding chimney safety
- Bird guard removal and installation
3. Appointment and Scheduling
- Customers must provide accurate information regarding the type and location of their chimney or stove to ensure a smooth service experience.
- Appointments are scheduled at the convenience of the Customer and subject to availability. We will notify you of the scheduled appointment via email or phone.
- A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancelling an appointment.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the chimney, stove, or other areas requiring service are accessible and free of obstructions before the scheduled appointment.
- It is the Customer's responsibility to secure any pets or valuables in the area where the chimney sweep is to take place.
- If we encounter any additional issues or damage during service, the Company will notify the Customer immediately and offer solutions. Customers must approve any additional repairs or services before proceeding.
5. Pricing and Payment
- The pricing for chimney sweep services is outlined in our pricing guide or quote provided at the time of booking.
- The Customer agrees to pay the full amount for Services rendered, due on satisfactory completion of the works
- Payments may be made by BACS or Cash
6. Expectations
- We do not guarantee the elimination of all soot, debris, or other deposits in the chimney as some conditions may require further services or repairs.
7. Limitation of Liability
- Charlson Chimney Sweeps is not liable for any pre-existing damage or defects in the chimney, stove, or flue that may be discovered during the service.
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from improper use, neglect, or failure to maintain the chimney and related equipment on behalf of the customer after the service has been completed.
- In no event shall Charlson Chimney Sweeps be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
- Nothing contained in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
8. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they wish to cancel or reschedule their appointment. Failure to provide a minimum of 24 hours of intent to cancel may incur a nominal fee of £30 to cover loss of earnings. This is separate from a legal right to cancel you may have. If you have a legal right to cancel, you will be provided with more information about this

9. Privacy and Data Protection
- Charlson Chimney Sweeps respects your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect personal data for scheduling, invoicing, and customer service purposes.

10. Unforeseeable Circumstances
We are not liable for any failure to perform our Services caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or other unforeseeable events.
